Call Center Fever...

If you are going to look into classified adds in the newspaper, most of the jobs advertised are BPO's.It stands for '' business processing  outsource''. It's the trend nowadays for companies in the US. Why? because it is cheaper to have some of the operations to be done outside the country , rather than in the US , where operational cost is much higher.

Here are some tips on  how to apply for a callcenter job?
1) Build self confidence - Learn how to speak with confidence, good conversation skills is one of  the needed attribute an applicant should posses. Practice speaking infront of a mirror for about 5 minutes , talk about yourself , hobbies etc...

2) Correct common errors in pronunciation - Most Filipinos has error with ''P & F''. They often interchange it, like saying the word '' Fortune'' some Filipinos pronounce it as '' Portune''.

3) Walk in - There are numerous callcenters that are in need of people almost year round, why? because of new accounts coming in and some has a high attrition rate.

4) The application process- Usually has an initial interview or the screening process, the interviewer looks at how the applicant can converse in English, you should be able to pronounce and enunciate clearly

5) Exam - Usually consist of grammar and IQ test, typing test usually requires 30 wpm with 95% accuracy in order to pass

6) Second interview - After passing the written and typing test, an applicant will have a second interview , what an interviewer is looking for here is the applicants personality if it's suited for the position being applied for. The common questions being asked for example are about the applicants strengths and weaknesses, challenging events, how to deal with a difficult boss etc...

7) Operations manager interview - The applicant is now endorsed to ''Operations'', usually the operations manager is the one doing the interview, usual topic being asked, for ex. expected salary, certain job details like how comfortable are you in selling, trouble shooting devices etc...

8) Job offer - This is the part where the applicant would sign a contract with HR, salary breakdown , and the schedule of training.

Good luck to all  job hunters....
