Tokneneng, a Pinoy favorite street food...


Tokneneng a popular street food made up of boiled duck egg or chicken egg, covered with orange colored batter then deep fried. Has been one of the most loved Filipino street food.

 

A serving usually costs around Php 10.00, which makes it very affordable. Served with spiced vinegar and diced cucumber, makes it a perfect street food snack.

Ang Pandisal O Pandesal, sa kastila (Pan de sal) ay isa sa paborito nating pagkain Pilipino, masarap kasabay sa kape, o kahit anong palaman na ating maibigan. Alam nyo ba na ang kahulugan nito ay tinapay na may asin.

The Legend of Lito Lapid


From Leon Guerero to the senate, Lito Lapid never failed to amuse audiences from all walks of life . Who can forget his speech during the Corona trial. Remained very humble during his talk, Lapid narrated that a highschool graduate would pass verdict to the Supreme Court Chief Justice, And said that he could not site any law nor speak in english. He said that conscience dictates his decision.

"Bilang high school graduate po, sa ating mga kababayan, anong sasabihin ni Lito Lapid na hindi marunong mag-Ingles, na hindi kaalaman sa batas, ano kaya ang magiging desisyon? Didisisyunan po ng katas-taasang hukom na isang high school graduate lang at taga probinsya ng Pampanga,"Lito Lapid said in his speech.
Juan Ponce Enrille remarked that Lapid's speech is one of the best,criticized for not being able to speak english, and the only senator without a prepared speech. Lapid was the most awaited senator during the trial and everyone was eager to hear on what he has to say....

Kwek kwek ang hinahanap....


Madalas mo ito makikita na ibinebenta sa sidewalk or minsan meron na din sa mall. Mga studyante man o mga papasok sa trabaho ,tumitigil muna upang kumain ng Kwek Kwek o Tukneneng. Ang kwek kwek ay itlog ng pato , balot o penoy, na ibinalot sa Harina na may food coloring atska ipri- prito.

Isa ito sa mga pinaka sikat na pinoy streetfood, dahil sa mura at patok sa panlasang pinoy. Ito ay kinakain na may kasamang suka, na tinimplahan ng sibuyas, asin at sili, samahan pa ng ginayat na pipino. Talagang mapapaulit ka sa sarap!
