Wok Inn Malate
When I got there at 10 am, the place is still closed so I was able to snap a few quick shots around.
Still sleeping at 10am? |
So decided to go to the National museum and be back here for lunch. Got back at 1:30 pm and I'm starving and a bit tired. No menu, an attendant will assist you to choose the order at the counter or I would say the kitchen , behind a glass panel.
So I ordered stuffed squid and the classic sipa and a small bowl of rice.

Squid stuffed with spring onion in a sweet sauce |
Disappointed with the stuffed squid, not the kind I was expecting it to be. You can tell by the size in the picture, not those big and plump squid that I used to have in other restaurants. Entire meal cost me Php 350.00.

Brad and Pit's ribshack
Interested to try that edible mug made out of cookie, the original plan was to try it... where else... at Cookie Mug! located along Lilac St. in Marikina. When we got there, the place is jam-packed. So might as well look for an alternative and we saw Brad and Pit's ribshack
The place is impressive, displays are memorabilia and items from the 60's to the 80's
So we ordered the spicy ribs and ribs Alfredo, the meat literally fell off the bone, tender and tasty.
What I don't like is the quantity of serving for its price. A bit expensive for me. But overall, it is worth giving another try.

Bun of brothers...
last October 3, they posted on Facebook that they have a free chicken burrito for every burger, sounds like a good deal.
So we ordered the Ultimate burger for myself and the Bacon mushroom for my cousin.

Well I've decided to push further and go to Majayjay, going to visit some historical places there
At Lumban
At Lumban Hydro electric power plant
Resting a bit before pushing to Majayjay
Reaching Pagsanjan is easy, no traffic and I noticed that most of the houses are old
Upon reaching Majayjay I was relieved, landed at around 1 pm. And It's a small quiet town .
My first destination in Majayjay is an old unfinished bridge made by the Spaniards called Puente de Capriccio, Rizal made reference to it in El Filibusterismo in 1851, Finding it was easy, I asked a trike driver, said it is called "Tulay ng Pige". Locals are confused why I'm looking for it, said that I will be passing by a dump site to reach it.
The dumpsite near the bridge
Met this guy who guided me in my search
Tulay ng Pige
As I was trekking down the cliff, worried about my bikes security
Next stop from Tulay na Pige is the old church of St. Gregory the Parish Church, Built in 1575
From Majayjay, going to Sinoloan and then to Real Quezon. The road going to Real Quezon is difficult, sharp curves and rough roads.
A local market that sells fresh sea foods in Real
Fresh harvest from the sea
Lots of beach resorts
Reached Real Quezon at 3pm, I was a bit worried that I might get caught in the dark while passing to Marcos highway traversing the Sierra Madre. Just took couple of pictures and headed to the final leg of my travel.
Loading up with gas

The Long and winding road of Marcos Highway
Heavy rain nearing Cogeo
Traveled 350 km |
Got home at around 7pm, got baked under the sun, soaked wet, For a rider, it's not always the destination that counts. It's the time spent on the road... Hope you can join me in my next journey
